My guest and I go back to 1979. Yep, waaaaayyy back to the rockin’ 70’s which seems kind of appropriate given what Wayne Deadder does now. As a successful session and band musician, Wayne has been delighting audiences with his guitar skills for over 30 years and is a two-time Juno nominee. On top of his guitar skills, Wayne is also a very successful airbrush artist. You’d think his path in life would be pretty clear right?
But Wayne’s successful artist career, like most entrepreneurs journeys, required a bit of fine tuning. After entering the field of diesel mechanics and parts distribution, Wayne soon discovered that not listening to his artistic calling was no longer a choice. He had to find a way to make it work. So like many starving artists before him, Wayne decided to dedicate his time and energy to building his art based businesses.
While another twist in the road was ahead, Wayne is now a truly well fed artist and busier than he could have hoped he would be. His story is truly an inspiration about the grit, determination and passion that it takes to follow your dream and being able to pay the bills.
